7 reasons to create a morning routine
How you start your day impacts how your day unfolds and how you respond to events, positive and negative. Think about it, if you wake up to an excavator outside only to find your water is turned off - you are going to be irritable all day. On the flip side, if you wake up to the glowing morning sun and to a warm text from a friend, followed by a perfect shower - you are probably going to respond to your day a little more positively.
Here are 7 reasons (with tips) on how to create a powerful morning routine.
You have the power to set the tone for your day. By saying something you are grateful for, you will set the tone for positivity.
It is good for your health. Dedicate at least 15 minutes of each morning to get your blood flowing, whether that is yoga or a quick cardio, your heart will thank you.
It is good for your stress level. By taking at least 5 minutes to center your breath you can start the day with calm and control.
You will set your priorities. Spend a few minutes going through your ‘to-do-list’, figure out what must be done today and what would just be icing on the cake.
You will manage your impulses. By ensuring you are in a good mental state, you are less likely to make impulsive decisions.
You will live your life with a full heart. By setting an intention for the day, you can control and decide what is important to you. Spend your energy on what matters to you.
You will be more confident. Stand in front of the mirror and say out loud a positive affirmation such as “I am powerful”, or “I am perfect just as I am”.
Welcome to your life! Congrats on taking control of your destiny.
